Tiber Swim Team '10

Here I come!

As some of you know, I have been in a period of discernment for the last couple of years to figure out if God is calling me to Rome or if I'm just imagining it. I finally got my answer today. Many things have led up to this decision, and it is not a decision I make lightly. I will happily explain more as time goes on, but suffice it to say that I feel I need to make my decision known.

Also, if anyone in the Grand Prairie area (or nearby cities) could recommend a conservative, child-friendly, non-happy clappy Catholic parish, please let me know!

May the blessing of God be upon you.

I sent you a comment on another of your blogs. I would encourage you to tune into YIMCatholic@blogger.com, since it is written by two recent converts and may provide you with substantive 'spiritual food for the journey.' Pax Christi.

Congratulations!! What an exciting step. I will keep you in my prayers, and I'll ask around and see if I can find some good parish recommendations in Grand Prairie. God bless!

I don't know if it's kid friendly, but would St Mary the Virgin (Anglican Use Catholic) be to your liking?

I've thought about it, and I might try it out. It is a bit further out of my way than I wanted (We already drove all the way out to St. Alban's Episcopal), but I'll see.

Congratulations on your decision! I am in the same process myself: several years of research, prayer, struggle, making my decision this past fall, a mixture of fear and doubt and peace (!) for a couple months, then a final peace in December that hasn't left me. I'll be joining at Easter and the Lord has been daily confirming my decision in more ways than I could possibly have imagined!
May God bless you!
